A Time To: A Whole Teens Mini-Series
September 23: A time to tear and a time to sew.
"A time to tear and a time to sew." (Ecclesiastes 3:7a)

There is so much grief in this world. Some believe that because we have God, we should always be happy and not down about the circumstances in our life. This, however, is untrue. God places certain things in our life to make us stronger and turn to Him in times of need.

He is always there - we need to remember this when we find things like grief in our day.

I personally have not gone through much grief in my life concerning people, but I have definitely gone through some hardships where I have learned that it is okay to grieve about things. Grieving might be a necessity for someone going through something, and this is perfectly okay. Grieving can help us get through things and let our emotions and tears out. But there comes a time when we need to sew our sadness up and move past that grief or hardship.

There are some misconceptions that if you move past a time of grief, than you are disrespecting the person who passed away. But this is not the case. God gives us hardships to take in, get through, and move on and find happiness.

If you are going through a time of grief right now and don't know how to handle it, that's okay. Use this time to grow as a person and find happiness again and know that things happen for a reason.

There is a time and a season for everything and you are going to get through this hard time. Have faith in God that he will get you through this period, and keep looking for the light at the end of the tunnel.

Lord, I pray that You help me get through whatever grief I am going through and know that there is a timed a place to grieve and soon find comfort in You. Thank You for the numerous blessings You have placed in my life. Amen.

What grief are you struggling with?
How do you find happiness through this struggle?
